The Three Sites I'm Now Paying Attention To This New Year
    By Alex Cook
It's a new year, and a new energy can almost be felt in the air. New blood is running in fanfic's tired veins, small pockets of creativity having sprung up in both old and new sites that hold some interesting promise for the months to come.

Second part of the Lord of the Rings series:
Well it's been longer than I originally anticipated, but I'm here to finish off my "Lord of the Rings will help you get laid" theory. Today I am going to cover the cute little hobbits. Before anyone says anything I refuse to comment on the height. I mean big deal. I'm a short person at only 5'4" and I have nothing against dating guys shorter than me. I wear big shoes, so if they're ok with that, I'm ok with that.

What is it about big characters that makes no one want to write them fanfic wise? And I mean the BIG ones, Spider-Man, Superman, Batman, I mean, look at the ammout of fic out there with these guys. It's minimal. Everyone's writing X-stuff or second tier guys who need a little more face time. But I see few Superman series. Why is that?

I think it's a combination of factors myself.
