Dillon and the Voice of Odin (Chapter 15) by Derrick Ferguson
Well, last time Dillon and Kris were on this rope bridge, and...look, man, this got posted this afternoon. Like I know what the hell happens in this issue. I know things are kinda barrelling toward their shattering conclusion, because Derrick has been putting this bad boy out once a month since October of 2001. Think about that. I mean...damn. Just...damn.
Planning for a Long Eternity (Chapter 11) by Tom Lynch
Not to spoil anything, but Tom's dude still does not know that the other energy-weilding type who's been stalking him is a chick. Think about that. Last issue, the dude is in this swimming pool, being strangled by a demon or something, and he like looks up from the bottom and sees her standing poolside. He's like, "I saw a figure." Yeah, no kidding, man. She's in a bikini! Drowning or not, I think I'm gonna notice that. That's just me, though. Anyway, it sure looked like he was finally gonna see her at the end of Chapter 10, so I guess now we'll discover if he can tell the difference between a man and a woman when he's standing in front of one. Ye gods. How has this guy lived this long? Still, rockin' book.
Wicked (Chapter 3) by Mike McGee
Hey, that's me! By the way, this whole chapter thing is a little misleading, since Wicked is a bunch of unconnected short stories. In this one, you'll find something that's almost a lesbian scene, learn about some really vile dating practices, and discover the secret, sinister true purpose of Baby Orajel (I didn't make it up). Enjoy.
Denbrook:
Missing Persons (Chapter 2) by Michael Franzoni
Detective Matthew Corrigan returns home to Denbrook's Blackwood district in search of a missing ex, and is promptly thrown in jail by a bunch of goddamned bastards. (No, it doesn't turn into an Azzarello Hellblazer arc; sorry to disappoint you, prison rape fanatics. You know who you are!) Why's he in jail? Matthew doesn't know, either, but he's got a few ideas...
Octane Shiv (Chapter 3) by Matt Pierce
Forsythe meets the tac-suits, and the fella responsible for them. Forsythe now has a choice: He can now either learn to operate a tac-suit or end up back in jail (and one way less cool than the one Franzy's dude is in). His first task? Get in a suit and walk across the room. It's not as easy as it sounds...
Pentagram Whispers (Chapter 2) by Tom Lynch
Random violence. Voodoo. Thor worship. What do all these things have to do with Ottman...and can he tie them all together in a 2000-word column? I know I couldn't, but Tom does...somehow. I'm still not sure how that happened. Read!
