Drake opened a book and began reading, but before he'd even finished the first page, a gun cocked behind his head. Eyes wide, he slowly lowered the book to his lap and turned around. A man in a red bodysuit and a metal helmet with a fancy eyepiece stood holding a gun to Drake's head. The man waved.
"Hi," Deadshot said cheerfully. He pulled the trigger. The Flash #10 (Vol.II)

Zyklon reached down and grabbed the golden age scarlet speedster's ankles, yanking on them with all his might. Jay lost his footing, letting go of his Nazi counterpart, who sped off towards the west of the city. Wally rushed over and caught Jay before he fell hard to the ground. The two righted themselves, and Wally smirked at the older man. "You know German?"
"Enough to order a sandwich and tell someone when to give up. Everyone knew a little German in the forties."
Wally turned to take off after Der Zyklon, but stopped when he saw that his mentor was breathing heavily. "You okay?"
Jay chuckled to himself. "I'm not as young as I used to be, but Zyklon hasn't lost a step. I got hit pretty good when he threw me against that wall…" Supergirl #13

Fred cleared the table before him and put a folder down. "When I got back to my desk I found this. It is the other detective's report on what was found in Conley's house. I'm assuming Buzz filled you in?" Linda nodded. "I reviewed the scene but I did not bother with the contents of Conley's computer, preferring to let a detective who specializes in taking computers apart for evidence. Look at what he pulled up from Conley's email and internet site trail."
Fred opened the folder and a printed picture of the main page of a website lay there, big as hell and twice as colorful: Teen Titans Millenium #2

"This place is wrecked," Aqualad said.
"Great observation there, Cousteau," Speedy said. "Any more deep thoughts?"
"Garth, don't," Wonder Girl said as he balled up a fist. "Listen, I'm going to see if I can spot anything from above." She launched into flight and began surveying the ruined town.
At least up here I can get some peace and quiet, Donna thought as she soared over the ruins. Now I just need to keep an eye out for anything unusual. She looked ahead and saw a man laughing madly, clutching a wooden stick and hovering in midair. Well, that's unusual, she thought. Wonder Girl activated her communicator. White Knights SFO

“You want me to be on television?”
“Live television,” the man clarified, feigning a sip of lukewarm coffee as he gauged Jason’s reaction. His green eyes watched Jason’s face intently to see if there was any indication that the young coffee shop owner was interested in the prospect.
“Not interested,” Jason responded.
The man lowered the cup and pulled a napkin from the dispenser on the counter, dabbing at his lips with the piece of absorbent paper. “Perhaps I went about this the wrong way,” he said patiently. “Do you know who I am?”
“Stephan McMasters,” Jason Liche answered with a nod. “You’re the host of ‘Shadows’, one of those late-night television series that shows cheesy horror movies interspersed with your witty comments about said movie.”
“I see you are a fan.”
“Not really. I was trying to tape ‘Saturday Night Live’ once and I got your show by mistake. Frigging VCR never did work right.”
