Ageless Stranger Secret Files & Origins
by Clayton Tooley
"I accept," Coy said, without hesitation. "You knew I'd say yes, didn't you, Stranger? You had to know that long as there was a chance to reclaim my life I'd take it. I mean, what's the downside?" Laughing at his luck, Coy turned and stepped for the door.
And froze when the Stranger's voice spoke up, apologetic as it seemingly pronounced Coy's stupidity. "Dear boy, don't you see the downside? It hangs over you now like the blade of the pendulum. I said I would give you powers, child, but I did not say I would make you immortal. Should you die outside the Estate during your mission, your soul will be forfeit. Tainted, it shall be neither accepted by Heaven nor desired by Hell. Nor will the Estate be an option for you during that year. If you die beyond these walls, Coy Nader, then you will simply cease to be. That, as you say, is the downside." Doom Patrol #10,000
By Matthias Uy
"Greetings fellow connoisseurs of the weird!" None greeted them. None was what you would think as a living body of water. An outline of a man but mostly made of clear fluid. His eyes grossly bobbed up and down inside his head. His outline was only visible on parts where the light hit him.
"I would advise you to check a red light special on isle 4. Or, go and see what we have on channel 73. I promise it will be such a bargain." He offered the same way a peddler would his wares.
"I hate to do this, but, Go to channel 73," Cliff said as he commanded the computer to switch the channel. Impulse #17

Bart turned to him and smiled. "It's okay, I've touched it before. I'm allowed. Max lets me touch it all the time."
"Max?"
"My uncle. My uncle likes it when I touch it, actually. It's part of my experiences growing up, he says. I remember when I first discovered it that was a great day, Max didn't like it as much that time, though."
"Does your uncle make you touch it?"
"No, I usually do it all on my own. Max says that exploring can help me discover myself. Usually I try not to fondle it as much as I'm doing now, but I'm kind of in a hurry. Max is always telling me I need to slow down. I can't help that I'm fast by nature."
"Are we still talking about the treadmill?"
Bart shrugged. "What else would we be talking about?"
Teen Titans #42
By Tobias Christopher
Across the street, on the roof of a building
General Mills was watching the Titan's Headquarters through a pair of binoculars.
"Take Project Cipher alive. I don't want a hair on him harmed," The General said as he loaded his gun. "As for the others... take no prisoners."
"Uh... sir?" One of the soldiers asked. "These are like, superpowered kids, and stuff. What if they, you know, like beat us up and stuff?"
"Think positive, soldier!" Mills shouted. "I want Cipher, and no team of teenage pipsqueaks is going to keep me from defending my country."
