Jesse helped the Princess up just as her father and his advisors walked in. The Princess suddenly slapped Jesse, sending him flying backwards.
"This stable is a dump!" She shouted. "The royal stable and its animals must be kept perfectly clean. Now get to work, you lowly peasant. Good morning, father."
"Good morning to you daughter," The King of the land replied. "It is not your job to be so heavy handed with the workers. That's what I hired Leonardo."
A tall man with a pointed goatee stepped forward. Leonardo, the king's chief advisor.
"Yes," The evil man said. "This place will not do at all. Where are the other stable boys?"
"They had the day off to be with their families," Jesse replied. "It's just me and my brother, and he's had a bit of a cold lately."
"Worthless excuses," Leonardo said as he grabbed the boy's face and held it close. "Fifty lashes."
"No!" The Princess shouted. "I mean, that's a bit harsh, isn't it? The stable isn't that filthy." Continued at FC
