Artifice Comics In Depth. An Interview With Jason Kenney. Matt Pierce talks with Artifice Comics co-EiC Jason Kenney about what Artifice is, where it's been and where it's going.
Matt Pierce: First off, Jason, in a day and age of story arcs, trade paperbacks and jumping on points, comics readers are given several opportunities to break into a new title they've heard of from the net or word of mouth or what have you. Fanfiction in general doesn't have this and relies heavily on the characters and likenesses to 'hook' new readers. Now Artifice may seem at a disadvantage since there is no apparent likenesses and no jump on points. So for the uninformed, what IS Artifice Comics?
Jason Kenney: Ah, geez, start with the big questions early...
MP: We take no prisoners. And no, you can't use that as your answer.
JK: Artifice Comics is a takes no prisoners approach to comic prose. : -)
